How to make an appointment.

Our appointment system is constantly under review.   We offer a range of appointments aimed at suiting most people's needs.  About 40% of our appointments are bookable on the day and the rest are bookable up to 10 days in advance. 

Patients with a range of minor ailments do not need to see a doctor. We have an innovative scheme with local pharmacists who are able to prescribe where necessary themselves. See our minor ailments page for further details.

We also need to work with patients to ensure that appointments with GPs are used appropriately. Before requesting an appointment please consider if an appointment is necessary. One way of doing this for on-line users is to check the self-help guide at www.whatshouldido.com. If after reading that you feel you need to be seen please do not hesitate to ring us.

For advance bookings please call during our opening times. 

For appointments on the day:

To make an appointment for a morning slot please ring between 8.15 and 9.15am.

To make an appointment for an evening slot please ring between 2.30 and 3.30pm.

 


Children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

If you have made an appointment to see a doctor or any member of the health care team and you know no longer require it, please let the reception desk know at the earliest opportunity.
