Dr Koppel joined the Practice in 1978 following the completion of his traineeship with the practice.

One of his main interests in general practice is the management of diabetes and he was one of the first GPs in the country to establish a comprehensive Diabetic Clinic in primary care.

His interest in multi-professional education has resulted in various teaching commitments over the years.
