Christine (fulltime) and Rose (part time) are our Health Visitors. They are available for advice and support on all areas of child health from birth to pre-school. They give advice on normal feeding; weaning; problems with feeding; sleeping problems; bed wetting; behavioural difficulties and immunisations, to give some common examples. They are also able to discuss women’s health issues with new mothers.
They run a weekly drop in service on Thursday afternoon 1.30 to 3.30 on the ground floor of Richford gate surgery. Please feel free to drop by if you have a pre-school child or baby and would like some advice. This clinic also runs a baby weighing service.
Telephone contact- please telephone between 9am and 5pm if you would like to speak to a health visitor. There is a message facility if no one is available to answer your call. One of the team will phone you back if you leave a contact number.
One to one appointments and sometimes house visits can be arranged on request by telephoning. You will be offered an appointment when your child is 8 weeks, 8 months and between 2- 21/2 years old. These are for the standard developmental checks offered to all children.
