Improving our Practice: Working with our Patient Reference Group 2014/15.
Richford Gate Medical Practice has a registered list size of approximately 10,500 patients. The practice boundary includes most parts of W12 and W6. In 2014/15 we continued to work and expand our Patient Reference Group( PRG for short) by recruiting patients from unrepresented groups. The idea was to recruit members of the group who represented the diverse nature of our practice population. Once recruited, they met on a number of occasions with our Executive Partner, Renos Pittarides and lead PRG clinical partner, Dr Zohreen Ashraff. This cumulated with a very successful Practice Annual General Meeting (the first of its kind).
During the year, the practice and PRG reviewed feedback from a variety of sources including:
· NHS Choices
· Formal Complaints
· National Patient Survey
· Friends & Family Test
· Comment Cards
· Text Messages
. The practice website
The group then decided on three key actions for completion by the end of the financial year. These included:
Providing appointments during the evening, saturdays and setting up a pre-bookable early morning telephone clinic;
Increasing the range of appointment types available online;
Modifying the balance between on the day and pre-bookable appointments.
These were all completed within 2014/15.
We are very grateful to a number of patients who have given their time freely and for working with us to continue to develop the practice.
We welcome feedback on this report and the process. Patients wishing to participate in future group meetings are welcome to discuss with Renos Pittarides, Executive Partner by telephoning 020 8846 6655.
