Why choose us to be your GP surgery?

Patient Choice

At Richford Gate, you can decide how best to receive your care. When making your appointment, we will honour your preference for in-person, phone or digitally delivered care. We believe in-person care is best, though we recognise many patients find the convenience of phone or digital care suitable to them. In some circumstances, your doctor may ask you to attend an in-person appointment if there is a clinical need for this.

Access To Appointments

You can request an appointment online using PATCHs, our online consultation tool, a trained clinician will review your request the same working day and communicate with you how best to proceed, with routine and urgent appointments available.

You can also access urgent appointments by calling the surgery from 8:15AM and using our call-back function, so you don’t have to wait in a queue. Our reception team will call you back as soon as they can.

We provide additional appointments on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays.

Easier Registration

We have streamlined our registration process to be fully online. You can read more about this and sign up here. Please do bring photo ID and proof of address when you attend for your first appointment.

Digital & Online

In addition to appointments, our online consultation tool PATCHs allows you to make other administrative requests such as medical certificates.

Using the NHS app, Richford Gate patients can access their GP medical record, test results and order repeat prescriptions. This streamlines your repeat prescription service and empowers you to know more about your own health.

Care for a loved one who can’t use the app themselves? If you are the registered next of kin, you can register for proxy access.
